Triumph X75 Hurricane Project Update
Updated September 2026.
The Angloclassics Triumph X75 Hurricane project has taken longer than first expected, mainly because of problems found around the frame headstock.
Frame work
The original frame had poor welding around the headstock, so the project could not simply move ahead as a normal restoration. The current plan is to use a suitable Rocket 3 frame headstock section to repair the frame properly before final assembly continues.
This is the part of the build that has dictated the timeline. There is no point rushing the rest of the bike until the frame is right.
Engine progress
The engine has been rebuilt back to the crankcases, with the barrels next on the list. The primary and gearbox work has already been dealt with.
Once the frame work is finished, the engine and rolling chassis can come back together and the project can move forward in a more normal sequence.
Where it sits now
The Hurricane is still an active Angloclassics project, but it has been put behind customer work and other bikes at times. The plan is to get back into it over winter and continue the build once the frame repair is ready to move.
This page originally covered the earlier stages of the project in 2025. It has now been updated so the status matches where the bike actually sits.
