Angloclassics Story

Angloclassics is based in Auckland, New Zealand, and centres on classic British motorcycles from the 1960s and 1970s.

Founded by Nick Wright, Angloclassics started in 2014 as a side project importing classic British motorcycles from the USA into New Zealand. What began with finding and bringing in interesting bikes, mainly Triumph, Norton, and BSA models, gradually became a place to record the work, list bikes for sale, and build something around the motorcycles that have always been at the centre of it.

The point of Angloclassics is to keep these motorcycles present. Not hidden away, not forgotten, and not only remembered in photos or stories from years ago. Whether a bike is repaired, restored, sold, passed on as a project, or simply recorded properly, the aim is to keep classic British motorcycles from this era around, visible, and being used.

Alongside the bikes, there is also a parts side and a small range of apparel and gear based around the same period of British motorcycles. The parts side is kept focused, with products and items that suit the bikes usually passing through Angloclassics.

Angloclassics is part of the wider classic British motorcycle scene in New Zealand, made up of riders, owners, builders, clubs, and people who still care about how these bikes are maintained and used.

In the end, Angloclassics is about keeping these motorcycles present: running, visible, and part of the world around them rather than fading into memory. The bikes are the centre of it, along with the work, parts, people, and wider scene that keep them going.
