Angloclassics can prepare and promote the advertisement, or manage the enquiries and sale as well.

The motorcycle normally remains with its owner, which allows suitable bikes from around New Zealand to be considered.

Both options begin with a review of the motorcycle, the information available and a realistic discussion about price. Not every motorcycle will be accepted.

ADVERTISE WITH ANGLOCLASSICS

$195 NZD

For owners who want the bike properly presented to the Angloclassics audience but are comfortable handling the sale themselves.

Included:

Review of the bike and pricing guidance
A clear advertisement prepared by Angloclassics
The listing remains on the Angloclassics website until the motorcycle sells
Promotion through Angloclassics social media and email newsletter

The owner supplies suitable photographs and accurate information, then handles enquiries, viewings, payment and collection. The $195 fee is paid before the advertisement is prepared.

MANAGED SALE

$600 NZD

For owners who want Angloclassics to prepare the advertising, deal with potential buyers and manage the sale process.

Included:

Assessment and pricing guidance
Photography where practical and agreed
Angloclassics website and Trade Me listings
Social media and email newsletter promotion
Buyer enquiries, offers and sale arrangements
The listing remains active until the motorcycle sells

The motorcycle normally remains with the owner, who makes it available for agreed viewings and handover.

Payment: $250 when the service begins and $350 when the motorcycle sells through Angloclassics.

A SELECTIVE SERVICE

The bike and the price both need to make sense

Angloclassics mainly considers Triumph, Norton and BSA motorcycles, along with similar British machines that suit the site and its buyers. The motorcycle, its condition, documentation, location and likely sale price are reviewed before either service is accepted.

Standard and restored bikes

Original motorcycles, older restorations and well-presented rebuilt bikes may all be suitable.

Regular riders

A usable motorcycle does not need to be a show bike, but its condition and faults need to be described accurately.

Projects

Complete or worthwhile projects may be considered where the parts, identity and expected value can be established.

Estate motorcycles

Individual motorcycles or selected bikes from an estate collection can be discussed with the family or executor.

HOW IT WORKS

From the first details to the advertisement

1. Send details Provide photographs, motorcycle details, location and the price expected.

2. Review Angloclassics reviews the bike, likely market and which service is suitable.

3. Agree terms The asking price, responsibilities and access to the bike are agreed.

4. Advertise The listing is prepared, published and promoted through the channels included in the chosen service.

WHAT THE OWNER PROVIDES

Accurate information and the right to sell the bike

The owner needs to provide the make, model, year, engine and frame numbers, registration status, known history, recent work and details of faults, damage, missing parts or non-standard components.

Registration information, receipts and other useful paperwork should be available, along with confirmation that the owner has the right to sell the motorcycle.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND LOCATION

Good photographs are essential

For the advertising-only service, the owner must supply clear, current photographs suitable for the website and social media. Additional photographs may be requested before the bike is accepted.

Photography for a managed sale depends on the motorcycle’s location and what can reasonably be arranged.

STORAGE AND VIEWINGS

The motorcycle normally stays with the owner

Storage, Angloclassics-hosted viewings and handover may be available by prior arrangement, depending on workshop space and the motorcycle’s location. Any additional cost is agreed first.

PREPARATION AND WORKSHOP COSTS

Mechanical work is separate from the selling fee

A bike may need cleaning, servicing, fault repairs, a WOF check or more involved recommissioning before it is ready to advertise.

Any preparation completed by Angloclassics is discussed first and charged separately at standard workshop rates.

OWNERSHIP, PRICE AND SALE OUTCOME

The motorcycle remains the owner’s property until payment has cleared

There is no guarantee that a motorcycle will sell. Buyer interest depends on the bike, its condition, presentation, documentation and asking price.

If buyer response shows that the asking price is too high, Angloclassics will discuss whether it should be revised. No price change or offer is accepted without the owner’s agreement.

All listings remain active until the motorcycle sells. The $350 managed-sale balance applies when a motorcycle is sold to a buyer introduced through Angloclassics.
