This 1975 Norton Commando 850 MkIII Roadster was imported from the USA and had two previous owners. It remained largely original apart from a handful of practical upgrades and was refurbished as a rider rather than restored as a show bike.
The original electric-start system had been improved with a Dyno Dave starter upgrade. The bike also ran Boyer electronic ignition and genuine Dunstall Decibel silencers.
At the time of sale the engine was strong, smoke-free and shifted cleanly through the gears. Cosmetic wear was consistent with a well-kept survivor rather than a fully restored motorcycle.
Receipts were supplied with the bike. This was a refurbishment rather than a full restoration.
Our Norton Commando guide covers model differences, production dates, engine and frame numbers, previous bikes and factory manuals.
