Parts Included:
- Pressure Gauge with push fit connector
- Oil line
- Heat protector sleeve
- Oil feed banjo adapter bolt
- Push fit elbow connector
Instructions:
Mount the Gauge to the handlebars with the rubber clamp, nut and bolt. Where you chose to mount it is up to you. Once the bracket is installed, use an allen key and a spanner to tighten it to the rubber clamp.
Remove the oil pressure switch on the front of the timing case. Replace with the oil feed line adapter plug. The copper sealing washer is installed between the adapter plug and the timing case.
Install the 4mm oil line into the end of the adapter plug. Make sure you push it as far in as it will go, you may feel a click. Gently pull the hose to ensure it is seated correctly.
Run the oil line from the plug up to the oil gauge. It’s best to follow the frame right up to the top of the head steady. You can cut the line to suit - just remember to check full movement of the handlebars and allow some slack. Ensure the line is fully inserted at both ends.
Insert the heat resistant hose line over the 4mm oil hose in front of the engine. This is to protect the line from excessive heat.
Using cable ties, secure the line to the frame but not too tight as to prevent pressure..
Once everything is secured and checked over. Start the engine to look for any oil leaks in case anything may need to be tightened or hoses inserted correctly. Once ok, do a few test miles checking the oil pressure and looking for any leaks.
Other Notes:
- Make sure that the oil feed line to the gauge is not pinched by the steering locks
- The air bubble in the gauge is normal, it allows the oil on the inside to expand.
