AngloClassics offers a bike finder/importation service to fans of British Motorcycles in New Zealand. If you have a particular bike you would be interested in then get in contact with us and we can begin searching through our USA network for a bike which will fit your needs. We mainly specialise in 1960s and 70s British bikes especially Norton/Triumph/BSA so if there's one bike you would like then we can see what we can do. Triumph Bonnevilles, Tridents and Norton Commandos are the bikes we have had the most experience bringing in.
How does it work?
Let us know what sort of bike you are looking for, what condition and what price you would be willing to spend. We will then begin a search. Depending on the market this may take a few weeks or months depending how long it takes for one to come up. Once it does we will send you photos. From this you will need to be relatively quick before others snap it up. We will then work out a final price for you. Payment is required within 24-48 hours. We then begin the process of exporting the bike from the USA to New Zealand. Once it's here we start the process of checking it over and getting it through compliance and VIN/Registering. After this is done then the bike is ready for you to ride home. We will keep you informed during the whole process.
How Long does it take?
Searching for the bike you want can take days to weeks to months unfortunately, we can't give you a set time for this.
Once we find you bike the purchasing usually takes 2-3 weeks. USA Domestic Shipping is usually 1-2 weeks. Here it waits in L.A for a container to fill up and shipping schedules, this can be anywhere from 1-3 weeks. Shipping to NZ is 2-3 weeks. Customs is about 1 week. We give the bike the once over and compliance, this can be 2-4 weeks. All up the process can be about 2-3 months. Most of this is outside our control unfortunately. But once it's done you can ride the bike home or we can organise bike transport throughout NZ.
How Much does it cost?
Unfortunately there is no set cost. It depends on what bike you are after and the purchase price in the USA. It's best to contact us and we can give you a ballpark figure. You can save money by taking the bike from us as soon as it arrives and doing the compliance and fine tuning yourself.
